S6E15 Sanctification & Growth

Soteriology

By: Dr. Brian Chilton and Curtis Evelo | January 12, 2023

Dr. Brian Chilton and Curtis Evelo discuss the process of sanctification that occurs in the life of the believer and the growth that accompanies it. Brian and Curtis look at several Scriptures that detail the characteristics of sanctification and whether the believer can help or hinder one’s growth. They also discuss whether perfection can occur in this life and whether sanctification deifies the believer.

Brian and Curtis discuss the following questions.
1. What do we mean by “sanctification”?
2. What are the two senses of sanctification?
3. Name some characteristics of sanctification.
4. Is sanctification perfected or complete before entering eternity?
5. Does sanctification “deify” us?
6. Does sanctifying grace change a person’s habits and behaviors?
7. Is each person sanctified the same way?
8. What is the “neonate analogy”?
9. Is sanctifying grace received instantly or gradually?
10. Can we help or hinder our spiritual growth?
