(Podcast) Message: “Do You Have the Power?” (Acts 4:1-22)

He Man

As a child, one of my favorite cartoons was He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. In this show, peace loving Prince Adam would do everything possible to use his intellect to solve problems. But when force was necessary, he would raise his sword in the air and exclaim, “By the power of Grayskull, I have the power!!!” He would be transformed into a mighty, muscled up warrior known as He-Man. Now, it would be nice if we had a diet plan that would allow us to transform instantaneously into bodybuilders and fitness models. A person could make billions of dollars with a plan like that. However, the Christian has a power available to them that is greater than a lifted sword. It is a personal power found in the Holy Spirit of God. In today’s message, we discuss the early disciples’ dependency upon the Holy Spirit’s power as we ask our listeners if they have the same power that was found in the early Christians’ lives.

Do You Have the Power?

Acts 4:1-22

  1. The believer has the power of AUTHORITY (4:1-10).
  2. The believer has the power of SALVATION (4:11-12).
  3. The believer has the power of DEFENSE (4:13-16).
  4. The believer has the power of BOLDNESS (4:17-22).
