(Podcast 7.22.20) The Philosophy of Naturalism

Naturalism

By: Brian G. Chilton and Curtis Evelo | July 22, 2020

Brian and Curtis describe the philosophy of naturalism and the problems associated with the worldview. The following questions are covered on the podcast.

  1. What is naturalism?
  2. In naturalism, can a person be good and moral?
  3. When dealing with evil (what we would call evil), does a naturalistic worldview have an explanation for evil?
  4. Who are some of the more famous, or infamous, naturalists of our time?
  5. What is the draw to naturalism, and why do so many people hold tight to it?
  6. Is naturalism a new worldview?
  7. What did Christ say about naturalism?
  8. Why are most people who hold to naturalism so adamant about education and that it is through knowledge that they are freed? Does this not, in some ways, bind them?
