In the first half of our podcast, Brian Chilton welcomes Jeff Mingee with us as he discusses his book Called to Cooperate: A Biblical Survey and Application of Teamwork. Jeff is the Lead Pastor of Catalyst Church in Newport News, Virginia and a Church Planting Strategist of the Southeast for the SBC of Virginia. He earned his MDiv from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, a degree in English literature from Christopher Newport University, and is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Southeastern Baptist Theologica Seminary. Jeff describes the theological need for believers to work together and eschew a competitive nature. He contends that cooperation is a biblically-centered command due to the unity of the Triune God and the relationship that believers have with him.
In the second half of the podcast, Brian Chilton provides some words of encouragement and observations concerning the COVID-19 virus. Brian grants four reflections to help people through uncertain times.
Unfortunately, Curtis Evelo could not make it for this podcast due to scheduling conflicts. But he’ll be back next week.
