During the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge, construction workers became fearful due to the numerous individuals who died by falling from the bridge. Construction was delayed due to fear. That all changed when the engineers decided to install a net underneath the bridge to catch anyone who may fall. The workers felt safe, construction resumed, and the bridge was completed. In many ways, God offers a safety net for those who trust in him. Pastor Brian Chilton describes three forms of God’s grace which are experienced by those who enjoy a relationship with Jesus. Find out what they are and how they impact how we live.
The Graces of God
1 Corinthians 15:10-11
- God’s PREVENIENT grace: A Foreseen Common grace (15:10b; Romans 5:6, 8; Matthew 5:45; Heb. 1:2-3).
- God’s EFFECTUAL grace: An Effective Gifted Grace (15:11; John 6:37, 39).
- God’s SUFFICIENT grace: A Saving Grace (15:10a; Hebrews 7:25; 1 John 2:22).
