Dr. Michelle Johnson has faithfully served as our Executive Vice President for numerous years. Due to personal reasons, she has asked to take a sabbatical from her duties for a while. To show our honor and appreciation for Dr. Michelle Johnson and her continued work with Bellator Christi Ministries, the leadership team unanimously agreed to deem Dr. Johnson with the honorary title “Executive Vice President Emerita.”

As the Executive Vice President Emerita, Michelle will have a continued spot on the Bellator Christi leadership team with lifetime voting rights. Her position will be held for as long as Bellator Christi exists. We want to express our deepest appreciation to both Dr. Michelle Johnson and her husband, Dr. Steve Johnson, for their friendship and their ongoing support of Bellator Christi Ministries. Michelle has been an integral part of our editorial and publication team. Michelle served as an editor for both the website and our book Why Creationism Still Matters. With a keen eye for details, she has detected errors that many of us missed.

Michelle has been a beloved friend and colleague for many years. She graduated with many of Bellator Christi’s team members. The list includes Dr. Deanna Huff, former contributor Dr. Scott Reynolds, and me, Dr. Brian Chilton. We were all able to walk and be hooded together at the 2023 Commencement Ceremonies at Liberty University. Michelle and I both focused on Church History for our minor.

On behalf of all of us at Bellator Christ, we want to congratulate Dr. Michelle Johnson for the honorary distinction of being named Executive Vice President Emerita of Bellator Christi!
