By: Brian G. Chilton, PhD | January 7, 2023

Today is an exciting day for Bellator Christi Ministries. We at Bellator Christi are proud to announce that we added three new contributors today to the team: Dr. Bruce Price, Tom Knoff, and Dr. Daniel Sloan.

Bruce Price, EdD, PhD Candidate

Dr. Bruce Price is married to Sonya (23 years) and they have five children (Sarah 19, David 19, Daniel 13, Hannah 9, and Isaac 6). Bruce played baseball at the College of Charleston and was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 1998 Amateur MLB Draft. However, Bruce felt God’s calling on his life to ministry instead of the baseball diamond. Bruce served in a couple youth and discipleship ministries before accepting the call of Senior Pastor at Buffalo Baptist Church of Blacksburg, SC. Bruce has served in this position since 2001. With a background in Mathematics and Physics, he entered Seminary with strong interest in Systematic Theology and Apologetics.

Bruce enjoys the interplay between the sciences and theology, especially in the area of Coherence of Christian Theism from a logical and biblical perspective. His greatest joy (apart from his relationship with God through Christ) is his family. The following is Bruce’s educational information: Currently a Ph.D Candidate in Theology and Apologetics (Liberty); EDD, Cognate in Cognitive Theory (2012) Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, NC; MDiv in Theological Studies (2009) Liberty University; MAR in Biblical Studies, (2007) Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, NC; MSS in Mechanics and Physiology, (2004) U.S. Sports Academy, Daphne, AL; BS in Mathematics and Physics, (2001) Limestone University, Gaffney, SC.

Tom Knoff, PhD Student

Tom Knoff is a Senior Class Teacher of Worldview Philosophy at Grapevine Faith Christian School in Grapevine, Texas. He is in the PhD in Theology and Apologetics program at Liberty University. Tom, his wife, Kim, and family are originally from Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Daniel Sloan, PhD

Daniel Sloan is an Adjunct Professor at Liberty University. He was mentored by the late Dr. Ed Hindson. After Dr. Hindson’s untimely passing, Dr. Sloan was allowed to teach some of Dr. Hindson’s classes. In addition to his teaching duties, Dr. Sloan serves as an Associate Pastor at Safe Harbor Community Church in Lynchburg, Virginia. Daniel graduated with his PhD in Theology and Apologetics from Liberty University. His research and expertise is in Old Testament studies. He and his wife, Natalie, live in Lynchburg, Virginia. Along with his extensive knowledge of the Bible, Daniel is an avid sports fan.

We are truly blessed to have Dr. Price, Mr. Knoff, and Dr. Sloan join us as contributors. They will begin with regular contributions beginning this spring and could potentially share some articles with us ahead of time. With Dr. Price’s emphasis in science, Knoff’s knowledge of philosophy, and Dr. Sloan’s insights of the Old Testament, you are in for a treat! Stay tuned to BellatorChristi.com to see the latest from Price, Knoff, and Sloan.
