In this edition of the Bellator Christi Podcast, Brian Chilton and Curtis Evelo continue their series on the attributes of God. Today, they discuss the divine omniscience of God. They discuss the following questions.

  1. What is divine omniscience?
  2. Does the Bible offer support for the idea of divine omniscience?
  3. If God foreknows the future, are people truly free to make their own decisions?
  4. If God foreknows the future evil actions of people, why doesn’t he work to stop them?
  5. Is God restrained by time?
  6. Is God’s foreknowledge limited by his moral nature?
  7. Why did Jesus not know the time of his appearing? Why is it that only the Father knows if Christ is God incarnate?
  8. If God knows what is to happen and has a purpose, its prayer effective and/or necessary?

Brian G. Chilton is the founder of BellatorChristi.com, the host of The Bellator Christi Podcast, and the author of the Layman’s Manual on Christian Apologetics. He received his Master of Divinity in Theology from Liberty University (with high distinction); his Bachelor of Science in Religious Studies and Philosophy from Gardner-Webb University (with honors); and received certification in Christian Apologetics from Biola University. He often teaches and speaks at his church Cornerstone Faith Center in St. Ignatius. Curtis provides a common-sense approach to Christianity as he contemplates the wonders of God’s creation in Big Sky Country.
