(Podcast 12.1.17) Fireside Chat: 4 Views on the Dispensations of God’s Grace and Pastoral Advice with Recent News

20171201 204024

Welcome to the first ever fireside chat! Fireside chats are informal podcasts recorded outdoors in Pastor Brian’s prayer garden, next to his firepit. With the podcast being outdoors, chances are likely that you will hear the crackling of the flames, Brian’s cat prowling about, the neighborhood dogs barking (perhaps because of the cat), and the sounds of the neighborhood.

On this special fireside chat, Brian discusses the recent sexual harassment charges filed against numerous celebrities and journalists. He also provides pastoral advice for those in ministerial positions to abscond unnecessary temptations, and to avoid the potential for charges to be brought against a person. Also, Brian advises Christians to have compassion towards those who may have been harmed. Sexual harassment charges must be taken seriously.

Also, Brian discusses four theological views pertaining to God’s dispensations of grace. These views are: 1) Covenant Theology, 2) New Covenant Theology, 3) Traditional Dispensationalism, and 4) Progressive Dispensationalism. Find out what the four views are and decide for yourself which view most accurately portrays the overall biblical story.
