On today’s podcast, Brian discusses the comments that Matt Slick made on a podcast pertaining to election. Brian describes how free-will is evident in Scripture and why middle knowledge is an excellent hypothesis to balance the doctrines of divine sovereignty and human agency.
- Free-will is evident in moral commands (See Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount).
- Free-will is necessary to respond to conditional promises (Rom. 10:9).
- Free-will is evident in man’s rebellion (Heb. 3:15-19).
- Free-will is evident in man’s quenching and listening to the Holy Spirit (1 Thes. 5:19, Philip in Acts 8).
- Free-will is evident in the Great White Throne and Judgment of Seat of Christ (2 Cor. 5:10).
